Nearsure is looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design complex, integrated security solutions and optimize cloud presence, performance, and security. In this role, you will work with globally distributed teams on agile software development projects for US clients.
What You'll Do
- Propose and drive best practices to optimize cloud presence, performance, and security.
- Implement infrastructure and cloud solutions including computing, networking, routing, and security.
- Create automation and use monitoring tools to efficiently build, deploy and support cloud implementations.
- Carry out debugging, troubleshooting, modifications, unit testing and support for cloud-based solutions.
- Produce solution design documents and solicit agreement from stakeholders.
- Own responsibility for the evaluation of technical risks and map out mitigation strategies.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience working in the industry.
- 3+ years of experience working in DevSecOps roles.
- A strong track record in automating and optimizing development and release pipelines.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization technologies, and Linux system administration.
- Proficiency with AWS services (RDS, EKS, S3, IAM, Route53) or Azure equivalent.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Helm.
- A good understanding of microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Strong time management abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in changing environments.
- A solid grasp of the Shift Left philosophy and the ability to mentor teams on secure development practices.
- An Advanced English Level is required for this role.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agentless cloud-native security platforms like Wiz is considered a significant advantage.
