Work within a key technology function to manage and maintain core identity infrastructure, including Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID. This 12-month fixed-term position, based in London with hybrid working arrangements, supports the ongoing reliability, security, and evolution of identity services across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain identity systems, ensuring consistent performance and security across Active Directory and Entra ID environments
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to authentication, authorisation, access controls, and user entitlements
- Identify gaps in system design and recommend improvements to enhance stability and scalability
- Support incident management, problem resolution, and change implementation for identity-related systems
- Assess risks and prioritise responses based on business impact and technical urgency
- Maintain operational integrity through regular patching, monitoring, and system upkeep
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, operations, and application teams to align identity services with business and security goals
- Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
- Identify strategic improvements in identity management using industry best practices and emerging trends
- Document configurations, procedures, and operational workflows for audit and continuity purposes
- Participate in technology upgrades, migrations, and integration of new identity solutions
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience in second-line Active Directory support.
- Microsoft Active Directory certification is required
- Proven experience with Active Directory components including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, trusts, and security groups
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Working knowledge of SSL certificates and their management
- Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and scripting
- Understanding of secure identity practices and access governance
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft Entra ID or Azure AD certification
- Experience with CyberArk or other privileged access management platforms
- Okta certification at any level
Work Environment
