We're looking for an AI Engineer to help shape the future of AI integration in electronic health record systems. Your primary focus will be designing, testing, and refining prompts that guide large language models to deliver precise, clinically relevant outputs in real-world healthcare settings.
What You'll Do
- Design and iterate on prompt strategies to improve the accuracy and reliability of language model responses in medical contexts.
- Test different prompting techniques and measure their effectiveness in clinical workflows.
- Work alongside developers, data scientists, and healthcare specialists to embed LLM capabilities into core EHR platforms.
- Ensure AI-generated content is context-aware, safe, and aligned with clinical documentation standards.
- Analyze model outputs to detect inaccuracies, biases, or inconsistencies and recommend improvements.
- Support fine-tuning efforts using healthcare-specific datasets in collaboration with machine learning teams.
- Share knowledge on prompt engineering and AI best practices with internal teams.
- Document methodologies, experiments, and results to support reproducibility and scalability.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on technical progress and implementation challenges.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
- Proven background in prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs such as GPT, Claude, or Llama.
- Experience building and deploying machine learning or NLP models.
- Strong coding skills in Python, with familiarity in NLP libraries like Hugging Face, spaCy, or NLTK.
- Experience working with LLM APIs and cloud-based AI platforms.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, AgentGPT, or Flowise.
- Understanding of MLOps and LLMOps principles.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across disciplines.

- Prior work with NLP systems in healthcare environments.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical workflows.
Work Expectations
This role requires availability during standard US business hours, typically between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Time, to support collaboration across teams.
