As an AI Engineer, you'll play a central role in designing, building, and deploying intelligent systems that solve complex business problems. Your work will span the entire project lifecycle—from concept to deployment—with a focus on creating secure, high-performance AI applications on the Microsoft Azure platform.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement AI services and products that meet both technical and business requirements, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance.
- Lead projects from ideation through to production, maintaining rigorous standards in development, testing, and delivery.
- Develop and integrate machine learning models using Azure OpenAI and other Azure AI Services, applying proven methods in training, fine-tuning, and deployment.
- Translate business needs into actionable technical designs by working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Stay ahead of advancements in AI technology, identifying ways to improve existing systems or introduce new capabilities.
- Work independently and collaboratively within global teams, managing responsibilities with minimal oversight while contributing to a culture of innovation.
What We’re Looking For
- At least five years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with practical experience using ML libraries and building user interfaces with Streamlit or JavaScript frameworks.
- Deep familiarity with Microsoft Azure, including Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and associated AI tools and services.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Azure DevOps workflows.
- Experience working with both open-source and commercial large language models, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
- Knowledge of secure API development and data protection principles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams and time zones.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week onsite. Candidates are ideally based in Bangalore or Pune, though applicants from Hyderabad or Chennai may also be considered.
