What You'll Do
- Develop and deploy AI-driven services using Python and scalable cloud architectures.
- Integrate large language models and AI APIs into distributed systems to enable smart automation.
- Design and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs that support complex data workflows.
- Build data pipelines that handle both structured and unstructured inputs for AI applications.
- Ensure API security and implement event-driven designs for seamless system integration.
- Optimize performance and reliability of AI systems in cloud environments.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to turn AI concepts into functional solutions.
- Support team goals with flexibility and ownership across the development lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or related field.
- 3–6 years of software engineering experience; senior roles require 6+ years with AI deployment experience.
- Proficiency in Python for building APIs, microservices, and AI-integrated systems.
- Proven experience integrating LLMs or AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Bedrock, Claude) into production.
- Hands-on work with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
- Experience developing REST APIs, distributed systems, and scalable microservices.
- Familiarity with LangChain, Hugging Face, vector databases, or similar AI tools.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, containerization, and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in complex systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across technical teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with healthcare data standards like FHIR or HL7.
- Background deploying AI in regulated sectors such as healthcare or government.
- Experience with LLM orchestration or agent-based architectures.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or similar container technologies.
- Prior work with the Department of Veterans Affairs or federal systems.
- Eligibility to obtain U.S. government clearance.
