Responsibilities
- Supports project leadership in assigned duties or assumes full responsibility on projects without a designated Superintendent
- Promotes safety as the top priority and ensures adherence to company, site-specific, and regulatory safety requirements
- Collaborates with estimating, division, and project teams to manage construction activities and serve as primary contact with owners, designers, and subcontractors
- Creates and executes production strategies aligned with project budget objectives
- Aids in compiling regular project status updates for stakeholders
- Maintains accurate records including daily logs, progress summaries, compliance documentation, and reporting
- Reviews project plans and drawings for accuracy against contract specifications and manages shop drawing coordination
- Secures necessary tools and materials to align with project timelines and workflow demands
- Plans workforce needs based on construction methods, equipment availability, and project phase requirements
- Leads recruitment, hiring, and supervision of on-site field staff following established HR guidelines
- Manages or verifies payroll submissions and ensures compliance with human resources and payroll documentation standards
- Consults with supervisors and team members, supported by HR and Legal when needed, to address workforce concerns and resolve disputes
- Collaborates with project stakeholders including engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to enhance construction techniques and resolve field issues
- Ensures adherence to project schedules through strategic planning of labor, materials, and equipment resources
- Manages subcontractor performance and verifies compliance with contractual obligations
- Upholds company policies, procedures, and operational standards across all project activities
- Coordinates and manages inspections required by regulatory agencies
