We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our fully remote U.S.-based team. In this role, you will design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and aligned with industry best practices. You will play a key technical role in shaping how infrastructure is provisioned, monitored, and maintained across cloud environments.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and optimize AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Onica Runway and AWS CloudFormation
- Ensure cloud architectures adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework, focusing on security, reliability, cost efficiency, and operational excellence
- Apply zero-trust security principles by enforcing least privilege access, encryption, and network segmentation
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies to support business continuity
- Monitor cloud systems, diagnose issues, and implement solutions across deployments and operational workflows
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams on planning, troubleshooting, and feature delivery
- Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure clarity and consistency
- Stay up to date with evolving AWS services and integrate new capabilities where appropriate
What You Bring
- Proven experience building and managing infrastructure on AWS
- Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools including Onica Runway and AWS CloudFormation
- Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles and cloud security best practices
- Experience implementing encryption, access controls, and network security in cloud environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud service issues and operational workflows
- Strong documentation skills and a commitment to knowledge sharing
- Experience with cloud monitoring, alerting, and backup solutions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
