In this role, you'll work closely with Cloud Solution Architects and customer teams to design, deploy, and govern cloud environments that meet performance, security, and cost-efficiency goals.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement automated, repeatable infrastructure deployments using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Support the migration of on-premises workloads to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal configuration.
- Monitor and maintain system availability, scalability, and security in line with customer requirements.
- Apply identity, access, and configuration management principles to strengthen cloud security posture.
- Deploy high availability and disaster recovery solutions to protect critical data and services.
- Collaborate on continuous delivery pipelines, enabling consistent and reliable release management.
- Assist in monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting cloud environments using Azure-native and third-party tools.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to customer teams during cloud adoption initiatives.
- Act as a technical escalation point for resolving complex infrastructure issues and improving long-term reliability.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working hands-on with Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, networking, security, and automation.
- Strong scripting skills using AZ CLI, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms, particularly Azure DevOps.
- Working knowledge of cloud monitoring solutions like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Log Analytics.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in English, both in writing and conversation.
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Experience documenting complex technical architectures clearly and concisely.
- Understanding of the Cloud Adoption Framework and best practices for enterprise cloud transformation.
- Exposure to containerisation technologies.
- Ability to contribute to technical planning, estimation, and implementation strategies in a collaborative environment.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely. Occasional on-site presence may be required based on customer needs. Supported locations include Dublin, Belfast, Galway, Germany, and Poland.
