Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors seeks an Azure Data Engineer to play a key role in modernizing data and analytics platforms for global enterprises. You will leverage Azure technologies to tackle challenging international projects, building scalable solutions that deliver high-throughput data services.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain highly efficient, scalable ETL pipelines using big data technologies.
- Deploy code to production environments and ensure their stability and performance.
- Utilize large-scale cloud infrastructure to create high-throughput services.
- Design and implement data solutions using SQL and Python.
- Apply best practices in data governance, quality, and modeling.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting complex information clearly.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects meeting stakeholder requirements.
What We're Looking For
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (ADB), and Azure SQL Server.
- Skilled in orchestrating Azure Databricks workflows using languages like Python, Scala, R, or SQL.
- Experience developing pipelines in Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Proficient in Python or other object-oriented/object-functional scripting languages.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and cloud workload orchestration.
Nice to Have
- Experience with legacy database migration is an advantage.
