Spatial Front, Inc., a two-time USA Today Top Workplaces awardee, is looking for a Backend Developer to join our team. In this role, you will design and build scalable, secure server-side applications and services supporting Federal Government modernization programs. You will deliver mission-critical capabilities and innovative technology solutions directly to Federal Government customers.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop server-side application logic, APIs, and data services using languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Build and maintain relational and NoSQL database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
- Implement microservices and service-oriented architectures following enterprise design patterns.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and DevOps engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Optimize application performance through profiling, caching strategies, and query tuning.
- Adhere to secure coding practices and participate in security code reviews.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in backend development.
- Demonstrated expertise in server-side programming, database design, API development, microservices, and performance optimization.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.
Nice to Have
- AWS Certified Developer or equivalent cloud certification.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience developing backend services for DoD or federal agency programs.
