About the Role
The engineer will build and support backend services that drive public websites and marketing technology, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side logic for public-facing websites
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
- Design and manage APIs that support marketing and content delivery
- Ensure high availability and performance under variable traffic loads
- Implement security best practices across services and data flows
- Work with content management systems to streamline publishing workflows
- Optimize backend processes for speed and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Support A/B testing and personalization features on digital platforms
- Integrate third-party services such as analytics and ad tech
- Contribute to architectural decisions for scalable systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
- Monitor system health and respond to alerts as needed
- Collaborate with product and design teams to define technical requirements
- Help define and enforce data privacy standards
- Improve deployment pipelines and CI/CD practices
- Assist in migrating legacy systems to modern frameworks
- Evaluate new technologies for potential adoption
- Document systems and processes for internal use
