Shape the backbone of a global product platform as a Backend Software Engineer focused on Java-driven services. You'll develop and refine scalable systems that power key features, working across the full development lifecycle from concept to deployment. What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain backend services within a distributed architecture, ensuring reliability and performance at scale
- Design and implement RESTful APIs that connect frontend experiences with robust server-side logic
- Write testable, well-documented code with guidance from senior engineers and participate in peer reviews to uphold quality standards
- Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to define technical solutions that meet user needs
- Improve system observability, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance across production environments
- Engage in pair programming, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing to strengthen team capabilities
- Apply AI-assisted tools in development workflows to increase efficiency and explore innovative approaches
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience developing backend applications in Java for production systems
- Solid grasp of core Java concepts, including concurrency, service design, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with distributed systems and experience building or integrating REST APIs
- Commitment to engineering best practices—testing, monitoring, documentation, and maintainability
