Role Overview
This position is responsible for generating meaningful insights from billing data to strengthen performance and efficiency across the Billing & Analytics function. The specialist will act as a key analytical resource, interpreting complex data from multiple systems to support decision-making in billing operations, customer care, and payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Centralize and manage billing insights across various platforms to ensure consistent reporting and visibility.
- Produce regular reports that highlight trends and performance metrics in billing processes.
- Support teams across billing, operations, and payments with data-driven analysis and recommendations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of customer billing journeys, from invoicing through to analytics.
- Introduce and promote current best practices in billing to inform strategic direction.
- Conduct impact assessments for new projects and system modifications to ensure billing integrity.
- Assist in resolving escalated customer billing issues with insight and data support.
- Work closely with internal departments to align billing processes across functions.
- Present findings and recommendations to management to support long-term planning and controls.
- Participate in and lead initiatives related to billing and payments, both internal and external.
- Engage with third-party vendors to support the delivery of billing objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years in operational telecom billing roles.
- Proven ability to work with complex data sets, including experience applying AI techniques.
- Strong background in billing analytics and deriving insights from data.
- Experience analyzing and resolving customer billing escalations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Skilled in translating analytical findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating with third-party, outsourced, and offshore teams.
- Familiarity with multiple billing platforms and systems.
- Track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Background in operational environments with a focus on process optimization.
