About the Role

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Bridge Structures team in Boise, Idaho. This role focuses on leading structural design efforts for bridges and related transportation infrastructure, ensuring technical accuracy and project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical aspects of bridge design projects, including structural analysis, planning, and final deliverables
  • Produce detailed structural drawings and specifications independently
  • Conduct structural calculations and support design development for bridges, box culverts, and retaining walls
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and Engineers-in-Training
  • Oversee quality control processes across project lifecycles
  • Support construction-phase activities, including field reviews and contractor coordination
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design teams during meetings and presentations
  • Assist in identifying new project opportunities through client engagement
  • Organize production workflows and prepare submittal packages

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six years of engineering design experience
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within twelve months
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to team success
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Positive attitude and dedication to high-performance standards

Technical Tools

Experience with industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, STAAD, RAM, ETABS, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and other structural analysis and design platforms.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position based in Boise, Idaho, with flexible scheduling and half-day Fridays. The role supports a collaborative culture that values employee development, work-life balance, and long-term client partnerships.
