Shape the backbone of game development for a flagship sports title. As a Build Engineer for NBA 2K, you'll be central to ensuring smooth, reliable builds across a vast and active codebase. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of hundreds of developers by refining automation systems, diagnosing build failures, and improving pipeline performance.
What You’ll Do
- Design and maintain scripts and tools that drive asset generation and build workflows
- Lead the diagnosis and resolution of build-related issues across platforms
- Enhance the speed, reliability, and scalability of CI/CD pipelines
- Automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual effort and increase developer productivity
- Collaborate with engineering, art, and design teams to streamline content integration
- Learn from seasoned developers with deep expertise in AAA game production
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 2 years in build, release, or pipeline engineering roles
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, particularly for automation and tool development
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline configuration
- Strong debugging skills with complex build systems and dependency management
- Familiarity with source control systems, bug tracking, and asset delivery workflows
- Experience in game development or content-heavy software environments
- Proven track record of optimizing build times and improving system stability
- Ability to work independently, solve problems creatively, and document code effectively
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across technical teams
Technology Environment
You’ll work with a modern toolchain including C++, Python, Jenkins, and robust CI/CD systems, supporting source control, automated testing, and asset pipeline integration.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary ranges vary by location: California and Washington: $85,700–$120,000; New York and New Jersey: $77,100–$108,000; British Columbia: CAD $71,400–$100,000. Total compensation may include bonus and equity awards. Full medical, financial, and professional development benefits are available. Pay is determined by experience, skills, and local market factors.
