Responsibilities
- Uses ERP software to fulfill material and service demands
- Prepares request for quotation, proposal, or information packages
- Supports research and evaluation of potential suppliers and manufacturers
- Negotiates pricing and delivery timelines with vendors
- Selects vendors based on capability, cost, and risk assessment
- Tracks purchase orders and maintains accurate records in ERP, company databases, and Microsoft Office tools
- Accelerates order fulfillment when necessary, including site visits to suppliers
- Coordinates off-site testing at supplier facilities in collaboration with project management
- Verifies order completeness and certification documentation with quality assurance for shipment approval
- Ensures ERP system tasks are completed to support timely invoice processing by accounts payable
- Helps assess potential suppliers for integration with supply chain management software
- Delivers weekly updates to the Purchasing Manager on current and upcoming procurement activities
- Participates in internal and external meetings with preparation and meaningful contributions
- Engages actively in training sessions, workshops, and professional development events
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by management

- Expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work independently when supervision is not present
- Completion of New Employee Safety Training, including Safety Awareness, is mandatory
- All safety training is provided and monitored by the Environmental Health and Safety Manager
- Ongoing job-specific training modules are required as determined by management
- Must wear company-issued personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, including safety footwear, eye and face protection, flame-resistant clothing, cryogenic and cut-resistant gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and respiratory masks
