About the Role

Autodesk Inc. is hiring a Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join Autodesk Construction. In this role, you will apply deep technical expertise and industry best practices to design, automate, and enhance our cloud infrastructure. You will solve complex problems across the entire cloud stack, from RDS to EKS and beyond, connecting individual initiatives to larger organizational objectives while working independently on most assignments.

What You'll Do

  • Continuously assess our broad cloud platform needs and identify significant risks or gaps.
  • Deploy and manage applications within EKS and persistent AWS Infrastructure.
  • Introduce improvements in proactive capacity management, monitoring/alerting, tuning/pruning, load optimization, and data replication management.
  • Create and evangelize general best practices and health models.
  • Utilize observability tooling and AWS automation to implement standards across a fleet of databases.
  • Form a high-impact council of experts from across ACS to leverage as champions.
  • Provide direct consulting with individual teams and COE leads on readiness and risks.
  • Select appropriate training opportunities for ACS Engineering in database technologies and management.
  • Provide tactical support in the case of true emergencies.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Kubernetes architecture at scale.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Terraform experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with cloud data technologies.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to share your expertise and influence positive outcomes.

Benefits & Compensation

  • A comprehensive benefits package.
  • For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $107,000 and $157,300.

This is a remote position open to candidates in Canada.
