As a Cloud Operations Support Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the stability and performance of mission-critical applications deployed across cloud and on-premises infrastructures. Your primary focus will be diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues affecting availability, response times, and system health.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver L2 and L3 support for multi-tier applications, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Monitor application performance using tools such as AppDynamics and Dynatrace to detect and resolve anomalies.
- Manage and troubleshoot containerized applications running in Kubernetes environments.
- Support core AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, VPC, and VPN configurations.
- Diagnose operating system-level issues on Linux and Windows platforms.
- Analyze and optimize database performance across SQL, Oracle, Postgres, and Cassandra.
- Support middleware components such as Tomcat, WebLogic, and WebSphere application servers.
- Investigate networking issues related to load balancing, DNS, and connectivity.
- Use monitoring and incident management platforms like OpsGenie, Nagios, and Rundeck to respond to alerts.
- Follow structured processes for incident, problem, and change management using ITSM frameworks.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python, Shell, Ansible, PowerShell, or Ruby to streamline operations.
- Collaborate with development teams in Agile environments to support smooth deployment cycles and production releases.
- Ensure compliance with security standards across cloud infrastructure and application layers.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in application or production support roles.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot multi-tier architectures and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with APM tools including AppDynamics and Dynatrace.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and services.
- Experience managing Kubernetes and Docker-based container environments.
- Working knowledge of middleware technologies such as Tomcat, WebLogic, or WebSphere.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases including SQL, Oracle, Postgres, and Cassandra.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and load balancing.
- Operating system expertise in Linux or Windows environments.
- Background in DevOps, Infrastructure Operations, or Application Support teams.
- Scripting experience using Python, Shell, Ansible, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model, with two days per week spent in-office to support collaboration and team engagement, and three days of remote work to support flexibility and productivity. The environment is fast-paced, innovative, and focused on continuous improvement.
