Caylent is hiring a Cloud Senior Engineer - Not an Active Opening, Building Talent Pipeline

Responsibilities

  • Assess third-party libraries, tools, and services for fit and functionality
  • Lead execution of complex cloud initiatives and engineering tasks for client projects
  • Conduct technical research and produce documentation for issues and resolution paths
  • Apply diverse frameworks and methods to identify root causes, challenges, and risks
  • Develop using cloud-native design, IoT backends, serverless models, and automation-first delivery
  • Design and enhance support systems, then coordinate transition to operations teams
  • Actively contribute to software development with adherence to SDLC standards
  • Balance strategic vision with attention to critical technical details
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to deliver client-focused outcomes
  • Transfer expertise to colleagues and client personnel
  • Produce technical content, speak at events, support certification growth, and assist clients
  • Travel occasionally for stakeholder meetings, project launches, conferences, and internal events
  • Perform additional duties as needed
  • Design and deploy scalable AWS-based architectures prioritizing reliability, security, and cost
  • Create and manage observability systems using AWS tools and third-party platforms
  • Collaborate with 24x7 operations teams to define essential monitoring data and metrics
  • Develop automated runbooks triggered by monitoring alerts and system conditions
  • Support operations teams in reducing alert noise and resolving underlying issues
  • Collaborate with DevOps and security units to integrate resilience and cost controls
  • Mentor peers and promote continuous learning across teams
  • Assign and structure work for team members at different experience levels
  • Support internal intellectual property and open-source initiatives
  • Engage in Agile or alternative project delivery frameworks
  • Foster relationships with technology vendors and alliance partners
  • Interact directly with clients on technical planning, presentations, and training
