About the Role

The New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is hiring a part-time College Aide - Web Developer for the Office of the NYC Comptroller. In this role, you will help maintain the financial transparency and digital presence of city government by updating websites and developing interactive data visualizations. This position is designed for current college students seeking hands-on experience in public sector technology.

What You'll Do

  • Update new content to the Comptroller’s Website, Intranet, and Audit Committee site using the WordPress admin interface.
  • Create interactive Google Charts from Excel charts and customize them with JavaScript using Google Charts guides.
  • Perform coding on new features using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JS within the Bootstrap framework.
  • Facilitate testing of new code and incorporate required feedback prior to production deployment.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student.

Team & Environment

You'll be part of the Bureau of Information Systems, working under a Senior Website Developer - Graphic Designer. The team works to support the Office of the NYC Comptroller.

Work Mode
