The Commercial Analyst – Group, Meetings & Events (GM&E) works closely with the Revenue Manager to ensure precise, timely reporting and reliable data systems. This role is responsible for generating regular pace and pickup reports, tracking performance against budget and prior periods, and identifying key shifts in booking behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce daily and weekly reports on GM&E booking trends, including pace, lead time, and segment mix
- Monitor actual performance compared to forecast, budget, and prior year results
- Maintain and update forecast models based on current booking activity
- Support annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting cycles with accurate data inputs
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting templates and analytical files
- Validate revenue data across Rooms and Catering to maintain system alignment
- Prepare presentation materials for commercial and sales strategy meetings
- Deliver summaries of citywide events and their impact on demand
- Verify proper data entry, segment coding, and booking status in Delphi
- Track conversion rates, lost business reasons, and tentative-to-definite booking ratios
- Highlight variances and risks with clear, structured commentary for management review
- Maintain clean CRM records to support reliable reporting and analysis
- Organize analytical files with proper version control and documentation
- Provide data-driven insights to inform pricing and yield discussions
- Perform additional duties as required to support commercial operations
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven ability to deliver reports on schedule with high accuracy
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with keen attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and structured modeling
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Disciplined approach to systems, processes, and data integrity
- Organizational strength with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Clear and structured communication of variances and trends
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Delphi or comparable CRM platforms
- Degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field
