Responsibilities
- Create instrumentation and control systems for fuel fabrication processes
- Integrate manufacturing equipment with facility-wide Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platforms
- Build and sustain SQL databases for storing process and product quality information
- Develop digital tools for tracking and managing inventory
- Support digital systems across the facility, including maintenance tracking and environmental, health, and safety reporting
- Program, debug, and optimize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
- Select, calibrate, and maintain field instruments for temperature, pressure, flow, and level measurement
- Work with equipment suppliers and process engineers to connect machine-level data from various platforms into centralized SCADA systems
- Design and manage SQL databases to capture high-resolution process data and quality metrics
- Implement and maintain digital tools for work order management, preventative maintenance, and inventory control
- Build automated pass/fail logic within SCADA and Manufacturing Execution Systems to ensure compliance with nuclear traceability standards
- Generate digital product reports from SQL-based manufacturing databases
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing for software and control interfaces, verifying accurate data capture during equipment operation
- Write and execute installation, operational, and performance qualification protocols for digital systems to ensure audit readiness
