Altera is hiring a Customer Quality Engineer to represent the Customer Quality function within Intel Foundry Services (IFS) and partner organizations. You will be responsible for driving business process development and managing customer quality issues in a dynamic, start-up-like environment at Intel.
What You'll Do
- Represent Customer Quality into IFS, TFSM, and other partner organizations.
- Drive the development of structured business processes to enable customer support across multiple foundry and OSAT business models.
- Represent Customer Quality in helping to architect the overall product/process lifecycle management solution for future programs.
- Lead deployment of key aspects of the next-generation quality management system solution for Intel Foundry.
- Manage excursion and incident management of IFS customer material.
- Field manufacturing-quality-related inquiries from IFS customers and collaborate internally to provide responses.
- Support customer audit requests.
- Be an internal advocate for IFS customers, ensuring manufacturing quality and service meets industry standards.
- Drive suitable business processes and collateral to support the IFS service business.
- Build infrastructure, systems, and processes to measure customer responsiveness and experience.
What We're Looking For
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or a similar field with 6+ years of relevant experience, OR an MS with 3+ years, OR a PhD with 1+ year.
- Experience working with external customers, including regular quality reviews.
- Direct experience working in a foundry manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Quality Assurance or Customer Service.
Nice to Have
- Strong familiarity or expertise in multiple of the following areas: Silicon process technology, quality and reliability, MBPS, 8D process, Incoming and outgoing quality assurance, PCN, ISO9001, IATF16949.
- Demonstrated experience in structured problem solving, excursion management, change notification, and audit support.
