Envision is hiring a Cyber Security Engineer to support and enhance our comprehensive Cyber Security Framework. In this role, you will adapt to a rapidly changing environment, relating security practices directly to business goals while advancing our program in areas like security monitoring, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
What You'll Do
- Assist in developing strategy and defining goals for the cyber security program.
- Validate security program maturity, including repeatable processes and metrics.
- Respond to and investigate complex cybersecurity incidents.
- Analyze log information to correlate security events.
- Detect, analyze, track, and guide the remediation of complex security vulnerabilities.
- Research emerging threats and implement preventive controls.
- Support, maintain, and enhance protection and detection security technologies.
- Develop and execute security technology improvement plans.
- Provide guidance to business owners on implementing security controls.
- Oversee the creation of security metrics and provide technical analysis on performance and trends.
- Investigate and recommend new technologies supporting security operations.
- Act as a subject matter expert for team analysts, assisting with escalated issues.
- Create internal security department documentation.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
- 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar certification for at least 3 years.
- Availability for on-call rotation as needed.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, NIST, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
- Experience managing and implementing protection/detection technologies: endpoint protection, email/web/network firewalls, vulnerability scanning, and SIEM platforms.
- Solid research, consulting, and presentation skills, with experience leading customer meetings.
- Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills.
- An ethical hacking mindset and critical thinking.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent data collection and analytics skills.
- Solid engineering skills with experience developing and implementing cyber security solutions.
