As a Cybersecurity Engineer in automotive technology, you will play a key role in shaping the security of embedded systems and connected vehicles. Your work will span architecture, design, and implementation, ensuring robust protection across electronic control units (ECUs) and vehicle networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and integrate cybersecurity features into automotive ECUs, aligning with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Lead initiatives in cybersecurity architecture, serving as a subject matter expert in areas such as encryption, secure boot, or intrusion detection.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to define security requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Validate implemented security features and contribute to the evolution of system-wide protection strategies.
- Deepen expertise in secure communication, access controls, cryptographic key management, and trusted computing technologies.
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, electrical engineering, or a related field, along with at least five years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity for embedded or automotive systems.
Required skills include proficiency in C/C++, familiarity with Linux operating systems, and knowledge of cryptographic methods, firewalls, sandboxing, and intrusion detection systems. Experience with trusted platform modules and secure key storage is essential.
Willingness to travel up to 10% internationally and domestically is expected. This role is based in Romania, and candidates must be able to work from a company office. A background check, drug screening, and review of driving record—limited to no more than four active points and no DUI incidents in the past decade—are required post-offer.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with ISO 21434 and other automotive cybersecurity standards.
- Proven experience applying secure coding practices in C/C++ for embedded environments.

Work Environment
