Role Overview
This position is central to shaping how data informs strategy across digital campaigns. You'll lead the development and maintenance of dashboards, deliver timely insights, and ensure data integrity across systems used in fundraising, advertising, and organizing efforts. Your work will directly influence how teams understand performance and optimize tactics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, update, and troubleshoot dashboards in internal and external platforms to support real-time decision-making
- Respond to data requests through Slack, clarifying requirements and delivering accurate, actionable results
- Produce and maintain documentation including data dictionaries and schema maps to promote transparency
- Monitor data flows between CRMs such as ActionKit and ActBlue, conducting audits to resolve inconsistencies
- Support A/B testing initiatives by collaborating with strategy teams on test design and statistical analysis
- Develop and refine statistical models that empower teams to make data-backed choices daily
- Facilitate knowledge sharing by training staff on analytics tools and best practices
- Coordinate secure handling and transfer of personally identifiable information (PII)
- Manage email and phone data rentals, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Work closely with technical and non-technical colleagues to align reporting with strategic goals
- Contribute to departmental projects and adapt to shifting priorities as needed
Qualifications
Candidates should combine strong technical capabilities with a commitment to advancing progressive missions. Experience working with political or advocacy organizations is highly valued.
Technical Environment
The role uses Redshift SQL for querying, Google Looker Studio for visualization, and Google Sheets for collaboration. Additional platforms include ActBlue, ActionKit, Action Network, NGPVAN, Civis, Numero, Switchboard, and Tatango.
Compensation & Work Structure
This is a hybrid role, based in Washington, D.C., with remote flexibility. The salary range is $85,000–$100,000. The team is unionized under the Campaign Workers Guild, offering strong benefits and a focus on work-life balance.
