Role Overview
The Data Analyst will play a key role in shaping and delivering robust risk models within an IT product setting. You'll be responsible for understanding existing processes, analyzing data usage, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis and documentation of current functional workflows
- Examine SAS and end-user computing tools to assess data utilization and validate datasets using SQL
- Develop business requirement documents and technical specifications for future-state data structures
- Define and document data transformations, mappings, and integration points
- Collaborate with developers during technical testing to clarify functional expectations
- Lead user acceptance testing and oversee resolution of identified issues
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, with proven ability to gather requirements and produce clear documentation
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis, testing, and reconciliation
- Experience in planning and managing work independently while understanding team interdependencies
- Background in Financial Services or Banking, with familiarity in Retail, Business, and Corporate Banking operations
- Demonstrated experience supporting UAT with end users
- High level of precision and attention to detail
- Exposure to SAS platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and business intelligence tools
- Involvement in large-scale data transformation or migration initiatives
- Active interest in learning and staying current with evolving technologies
