This role is central to shaping a scalable, well-governed data environment that powers decision-making and fuels future AI and machine learning projects. You'll redesign and manage core data pipelines, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the organization while helping transition from a SQL data lake to a more advanced analytics platform.
What You'll Do
- Design, optimize, and maintain ETL processes and reporting tables to support reliable, high-quality data delivery.
- Work with business leaders and the VP of Analytics & AI to define key metrics, align reporting standards, and deliver actionable insights.
- Lead data governance efforts, including naming conventions, documentation, and metric definitions used company-wide.
- Prepare datasets and pipelines for machine learning readiness, ensuring structure and accessibility for advanced analytics.
- Guide and mentor a Junior Analyst in reporting methods, data best practices, and visualization techniques.
- Oversee dashboard development, delegating tasks while maintaining quality and consistency across reporting outputs.
- Collaborate across departments to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for transforming and analyzing complex datasets.
- Experience building and automating ETL workflows and data pipelines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and deliver high-impact results.
- Excellent communication skills, with a talent for explaining technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, R, DAX, or Power Query.
- Background in direct-to-consumer analytics, especially in areas like customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
- Experience coaching or supervising less experienced analysts.
- Personal interest in crafting, yarn, or maker culture—though what matters most is curiosity and respect for our community.

Compensation
Salary ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, based on location, skills, and experience level. Strategic expertise may qualify for the higher end of the range. Eligible for an annual bonus of up to 4%, tied to company performance.
