As a Data Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of cloud-based data platforms using Databricks on Azure. Your work will focus on creating scalable, high-performance data architectures that support analytics, automation, and strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize data architectures leveraging Databricks and Azure services such as Data Lake, Synapse, and Data Factory.
- Develop and maintain reliable data pipelines, data models, and warehousing solutions using modern engineering practices.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable data designs through close collaboration with engineering, analytics, and business teams.
- Implement and manage ETL and ELT frameworks with a focus on data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Integrate new data sources and enable deployment of advanced data capabilities across cloud environments.
- Establish and enforce standards for data governance, modeling, and lifecycle management.
- Diagnose and resolve performance and platform issues to ensure system reliability.
- Mentor team members in data engineering techniques, tools, and emerging trends.
Qualifications
- Professional experience in a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role.
- Deep technical knowledge of Azure data services and hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for building and managing data workflows.
- Understanding of data warehouse design, dimensional modeling, and distributed computing.
- Experience with data security, access control, and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in system design and documentation.
- Fluent English communication skills, written and verbal.
