You will design and implement scalable data architectures that power one of Europe’s largest logistics networks, directly contributing to more efficient and sustainable global freight operations. Working within a cloud-native environment, you'll build and maintain data lakes, streaming pipelines, and automated ingestion workflows that process high-volume logistics data at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize cloud-based data solutions using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions to support real-time and batch processing needs.
- Design and manage ETL/ELT workflows and event-driven data ingestion systems across PostgreSQL, Redshift, and DynamoDB, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation to deploy and manage cloud resources efficiently and securely.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to turn business requirements into scalable, maintainable data solutions.
- Support data governance initiatives by implementing standards for quality, security, and compliance across data platforms.
Qualifications and Skills
You bring at least two years of hands-on experience in cloud data engineering, with a strong foundation in Python and SQL. You’re comfortable working across containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, and you have practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and multi-database systems.
- Proficiency in AWS data services including Lambda, Glue, and Step Functions
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment workflows
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as QuickSight is a plus
- Interest in emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development and intelligent automation
Environment and Impact
You’ll work in an entrepreneurial, values-driven environment that emphasizes belonging, continuous growth, and practical innovation. This role offers the chance to shape the future of logistics technology while solving real-world challenges in transportation sustainability. You can work remotely from select European countries or onsite in Ulm, Germany, with flexibility to match your preferences and project needs.
