As a Data Engineer on the Finance data team, you will play a central role in shaping how financial data is structured, integrated, and reported across the organization. This role directly influences company-wide financial visibility, supporting critical functions including accounting, billing, and revenue operations in a post-IPO environment.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that power financial reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, and cross-functional partners to define data models and ensure consistency across systems.
- Take ownership of end-to-end solutions—from understanding business requirements to deploying robust, auditable data systems.
- Ensure data integrity through practices supporting immutability, traceability, and handling of historical changes.
- Drive improvements in data quality and observability using tools like Great Expectations or Monte Carlo.
- Advocate for best practices in data engineering across teams and contribute to organization-wide initiatives.
What We're Looking For
You have deep experience in data pipeline development and a track record of delivering reliable, production-grade data systems. You're fluent in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Trino. Familiarity with dbt and Airflow is a strong plus.
Successful candidates will combine technical rigor with strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You thrive in autonomous environments, balancing speed with quality to deliver solutions that scale.
Work Environment
This role follows a Flex First model, allowing team members to work from wherever they're most productive—whether at home, in an office, or elsewhere—while participating in periodic in-person gatherings to strengthen team connections. The position is open to candidates in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
Compensation & Benefits
This role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $161,000 to $170,000 CAD, eligibility for a new hire equity grant, and annual refresh grants.
