As a Data Engineer on the People Intelligence team, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers human resources analytics. Your work will directly influence how the organization understands and supports its workforce, from recruitment to retention.
What You’ll Do
- Design and manage data warehouse structures, including schemas, tables, and views, to create trusted datasets for HR analytics
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows using Airflow and dbt to process and transform People data at scale
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems, establishing a single source of truth for critical metrics
- Build secure, reusable data models that support self-service reporting and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and improve data quality
- Implement monitoring and observability practices to maintain pipeline reliability
- Document system designs and configurations to promote operational rigor
- Train team members on new tools, pipelines, and data standards as systems evolve
- Contribute to data governance initiatives that align with organizational goals
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience in data or software engineering roles
- Proven ability to write complex SQL queries and optimize data models
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly AWS
- Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, and Databricks in production environments
- Skill in creating and debugging Airflow DAGs
- Experience using data monitoring frameworks to ensure pipeline health
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on root-cause problem solving
- Ability to translate business questions into data solutions and communicate insights effectively
