As a Data Integration Engineer, you will play a key technical role in connecting enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial systems to a cloud-based platform. Your focus will be on developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting integrations that automate the extraction, transformation, and loading of financial data from systems like NetSuite, Sage Intacct, D365, SAP, and SunSystems.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement integrations between client financial platforms and the core system using REST and SOAP APIs
- Write and optimize JavaScript-based scripts to manage data exchange processes
- Develop and maintain SQL queries to transform, validate, and prepare financial data in MySQL or PostgreSQL environments
- Support secure data transfer workflows using SFTP and cloud storage solutions on AWS or Azure
- Diagnose and resolve integration issues, ensuring data consistency and system reliability
- Document integration logic and contribute to internal standards for scalable, maintainable data pipelines
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working with API integrations, including both REST and SOAP protocols
- Strong scripting skills in JavaScript for building and supporting integration workflows
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and validation within relational databases
- Background in ETL processes and data processing in cloud environments
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure infrastructure and secure data handling practices
- Ability to analyze and resolve data discrepancies across systems
Nice to Have
- Exposure to ERP or financial management systems such as those listed above
- Understanding of scalable integration patterns and secure data pipeline design
- Experience in financial data automation or reporting environments
Work Environment
This role supports a hybrid setup with team members based in Lisbon and Brussels. Remote work is fully supported within either country, with optional on-site collaboration. You’ll work within a supportive, mentorship-driven team focused on building intelligent tools that improve financial accuracy and operational performance.
