Responsibilities
- Interpret and clarify business needs from fragmented or incomplete source documents
- Collaborate directly with business units to align data definitions, requirements, and reporting goals
- Convert business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Create data models for a normalized silver layer (3NF) and a dimensional gold layer (star schema)
- Construct and manage a medallion architecture in Azure Synapse, including silver and gold zone tables
- Develop data transformation logic and orchestrate pipelines using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, SQL, and PySpark
- Process and integrate data primarily sourced from SAP systems
- Assist in data cataloging, governance practices, and lineage tracking using Microsoft Purview
- Manage code repositories, CI/CD workflows, and project tracking via Azure DevOps
- Deliver curated datasets to enable Power BI reporting and analytics
