A key member of our security team, the Data Protection Analyst will lead efforts to prevent unauthorized data transfers and ensure secure collaboration across digital platforms. You'll be responsible for monitoring outbound communications, analyzing potential data leaks, and enforcing policies that protect both customer and corporate information.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect email attachments and external messaging for potential data exposure using automated tools and manual review.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Data Loss Prevention policies in Microsoft Purview and Mimecast.
- Monitor quarantine systems and evaluate flagged outbound content, including files and messages.
- Conduct forensic investigations into incidents involving personally identifiable information (PII).
- Review Spanish-language content to assess context and identify risks related to sensitive data sharing.
- Establish governance controls for outbound messaging, including SMS through Salesforce.
- Analyze logs from identity and productivity platforms such as Okta and Microsoft 365.
- Investigate suspicious configuration changes or attempts to bypass security controls.
- Work with HR and Legal teams to preserve digital evidence and document chain-of-custody procedures.
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience in infrastructure security, digital forensics, or data loss prevention.
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Purview, Mimecast, Okta, and Exchange Admin Center.
- Experience conducting security investigations and forensic analysis.
- Proficiency in Python or Kusto Query Language (KQL) for log analysis and automation.
- Solid understanding of identity governance and insider threat detection frameworks.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English, with the ability to interpret nuanced communications.
- Position is remote, based in Mexico City, and follows Monday through Friday business hours.
