Responsibilities
- Guide, coach, and build a high-performing team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, fostering technical growth and operational excellence.
- Support the design and deployment of event-driven systems to enable asynchronous workflows and scalable integration across platforms.
- Collaborate across disciplines—working with data scientists on model optimization, experimentation, and prompt engineering; aligning with product and software engineering teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into customer-facing tools; coordinating with DevOps and platform engineering on infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and system reliability; and partnering with data engineering on data pipeline architecture and ingestion methods.
- Provide technical oversight in leveraging AWS technologies including Lambda, EC2, EMR, S3, Athena, Batch, Textract, Comprehend, and Bedrock.
- Lead efforts in defining project scope, estimating effort, and planning execution in alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Perform code reviews, define architectural direction, and promote software development lifecycle best practices, combining leadership with hands-on technical work to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

ISMS roles and responsibilities
- Demonstrate solid understanding of information security principles
- Oversee designated business processes within the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Manage ISMS documentation, perform risk assessments, and execute risk treatment plans
- Identify, evaluate, and manage risks within assigned domains as a Risk Owner
- Implement approved risk treatment strategies
- Participate in Business Continuity Planning and related information security resilience testing with the CISO
- Monitor and report on ISMS performance metrics
- Enforce security policies and procedures, escalating issues to the CISO when necessary
