We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and deployment of machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision solutions in the domain of battery manufacturing. In this role, you will translate complex business problems into data-driven models, working across engineering, product, and business teams to deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and define data science initiatives aligned with strategic goals.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis on large-scale datasets from data lakes and specialized platforms to support targeted use cases.
- Design, train, and refine machine learning and deep learning models using Python and Spark-ML, with a focus on real-world impact.
- Optimize model performance through rigorous hyperparameter tuning and evaluation techniques.
- Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines for ML models, adhering to ML Ops best practices.
- Deliver analytics that inform decision-making, helping shape business strategies with evidence-based findings.
- Participate in agile rituals including stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement to ensure timely delivery of modeling tasks.
- Present technical results clearly to non-technical audiences, enabling informed decisions through visualizations and reports.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to integrate models into scalable data products.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics, and have at least two years of professional experience. Expertise in applying machine learning and computer vision to manufacturing or industrial data is required. Proficiency with tools including Python, Spark, Airflow, AWS SageMaker, Databricks, GitHub, Power BI, or Tableau is essential. Experience in Gen AI and computer vision applications is mandatory.
Preferred qualifications include hands-on model deployment in production environments, familiarity with Large Language Models and Vision Language Models, AWS certifications, and prior work with ML Ops frameworks.
