What You'll Do
- Design and maintain highly available systems that support mission-critical applications
- Advance Kubernetes-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability and resilience
- Improve observability through Prometheus, Grafana, and other monitoring tools
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines using declarative configuration and automation
- Develop repeatable development patterns that streamline the path from local environments to production
- Support and refine database architectures built for continuous uptime
- Build internal tooling that increases team efficiency and reduces operational overhead
- Explore and integrate emerging technologies that align with infrastructure goals
- Challenge existing assumptions and drive improvements across systems and processes
What We're Looking For
- At least 8 years supporting high-performance, production-critical systems
- Proven experience with AWS, EKS, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
- Hands-on deployment and management of applications in Kubernetes environments
- Experience configuring and maintaining monitoring stacks with Prometheus and Grafana
- Track record of building and refining CI/CD workflows for containerized services
- Strong Python scripting skills
- Background supporting databases in highly available configurations
- Firm understanding of Linux platforms and system administration
- Familiarity with TLS and core networking concepts, including multicast, gRPC, and websockets
- Willingness to participate in off-hours support when necessary
- Proactive mindset with a drive to learn quickly and expand technical capabilities
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and composure under pressure
- Excellent organizational abilities, including planning, prioritization, and documentation
Nice to Have
- Exposure to cryptoasset systems or on-chain application infrastructure
- Experience with Auth0 or similar identity platforms
Technology Environment
Our stack includes Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Python, Prometheus, Grafana, AWS, EKS, Terraform, Auth0, TLS, multicast, gRPC, and websockets.
Work Environment
This role supports a hybrid model with team locations in Austin, Chicago, Houston, and New York. Remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates. You'll operate in a culture that values autonomy, intellectual curiosity, and the freedom to pivot quickly in response to new challenges.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary ranges from $150,000 to $225,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation includes an annual discretionary bonus.
