As Director of Security Engineering, you will shape and lead the security strategy for a next-generation identity platform built on AI-native architecture. You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining secure systems across cloud infrastructure, applications, and data layers, ensuring the highest standards of data protection and platform integrity.
Leadership & Team Development
Build and guide a skilled team of security engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration. Define clear objectives, career pathways, and performance expectations while promoting continuous learning. You'll mentor individuals to excel in product security, infrastructure hardening, and security operations.
Security Strategy & Execution
Develop and drive a forward-looking security roadmap aligned with business goals and customer commitments. Lead threat modeling, secure design reviews, and vulnerability management programs. Own the security architecture, ensuring resilience across AWS environments, containerized workloads, and modern application stacks.
- Integrate security deeply into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
- Lead incident response, penetration testing, and audit readiness efforts
- Support compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other frameworks
- Act as technical authority during customer security evaluations and regulatory inquiries
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with engineering, product, and go-to-market leaders to align security with innovation and delivery speed. Translate complex technical risks into clear insights for executives and non-technical stakeholders. Support customer-facing teams with expert guidance during sales engagements.
The ideal candidate brings over a decade of security engineering experience, including five years leading teams in SaaS or enterprise security environments. You have a proven ability to build security programs from the ground up, with deep knowledge of cloud security, application security practices (SAST/DAST), SIEM, and secure SDLC integration. Experience in identity management, IAM, or AI/ML systems is a strong plus.
