Lead the design and implementation of a cutting-edge cross-border consumer payments platform leveraging stablecoin and blockchain technologies. This role is central to shaping the technical direction of a highly scalable, secure, and compliant digital asset infrastructure within a regulated financial environment. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical mastery with strong leadership judgment to deliver resilient, observable, and incrementally deployable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the end-to-end architecture for a global money movement solution, ensuring it meets rigorous standards for scalability, security, and regulatory alignment
- Design and build core services including wallet systems, transaction orchestration, liquidity management, and settlement layers
- Guide the evaluation and integration of blockchain protocols, stablecoin ecosystems, and third-party digital asset providers
- Champion engineering excellence in smart contract security, transaction traceability, and system observability
- Drive incremental delivery by breaking down complex initiatives into deployable components, avoiding monolithic rollouts
- Develop proof-of-concept implementations and contribute directly to production code to resolve critical technical challenges
- Collaborate with leaders in Data, Architecture, and Operations to deliver scalable solutions aligned with enterprise standards
- Ensure adherence to quality practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and security compliance across the development lifecycle
- Communicate progress, risks, and technical trade-offs to executive stakeholders with clarity and business context
- Uphold the highest standards of data integrity, confidentiality, and availability in line with company and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
- 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with recognition as a technical authority
- 10+ years leading architecture or scaling of payment systems, digital assets, or blockchain solutions in regulated settings
- 5+ years building large-scale cloud-native systems, with hands-on experience in containerization, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Proven track record of technical leadership in designing, upgrading, and deploying complex distributed systems
- Deep understanding of cloud environments, particularly AWS, and experience migrating systems from on-prem to cloud
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence peers, executives, and cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated thought leadership through publications, patents, or speaking engagements
- Background and drug screening required

- Extensive experience scaling enterprise systems on Amazon Web Services
