Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Safety Specialist to lead key components of our environmental, health, and safety program. In this role, you will focus on ensuring electrical safety across operations, guiding risk assessments, and maintaining compliance within a high-performance industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver training on risk assessment methods, safe work procedures, job hazard analysis, SOPs, and process hazard reviews.
- Lead the development and execution of high-risk EHS initiatives, particularly in electrical safety and lockout/tagout systems.
- Track performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance safety outcomes.
- Perform or support equipment inspections, safety audits, and root cause analysis during incident investigations.
- Identify systemic issues, develop corrective and preventive actions, and ensure follow-through to resolution.
- Review engineering and architectural plans to detect and address potential electrical hazards.
- Support contractor safety programs to ensure alignment with site standards.
- Maintain accuracy and reliability of safety-critical equipment through calibration and operational checks.
- Advise on appropriate personal protective equipment selection and upkeep.
- Engage actively in the EHS Committee to advance organizational safety culture.
- Drive awareness and accountability by promoting a proactive approach to workplace safety.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position requiring daily presence at the facility. The role operates within a fast-moving industrial environment where safety integration into technical processes is essential.
