About the Role

Responsibilities
- Manage the production of digital publications from submission to final release
- Ensure content adheres to established formatting and accessibility standards
- Collaborate with editors and authors to prepare manuscripts for digital platforms
- Implement and maintain metadata standards for digital content
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to e-publishing systems
- Support the integration of digital publications with library repositories
- Maintain version control for digital documents and updates
- Assist in the development of publishing templates and style guides
- Coordinate with vendors for digital distribution and hosting
- Monitor publishing schedules and track project timelines
- Train staff on digital publishing tools and workflows
- Evaluate new publishing technologies and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with copyright and licensing requirements
- Prepare digital files for multiple output formats including PDF and web
- Conduct quality assurance checks on final publications
- Support accessibility standards for digital content
- Maintain documentation for publishing processes
- Work with IT teams to ensure system compatibility
- Assist in archiving digital publications
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve publishing efficiency
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in library science, publishing, or related field
- Experience with journal publishing platforms such as OJS
- Knowledge of semantic markup and data encoding standards
- Experience in an academic or research library setting
- Familiarity with digital preservation practices
