Responsibilities
- Interpret customer scenarios and signal processing methods to define precise system and software requirements for embedded environments
- Assess and propose computational solutions involving CPUs, DSPs, FPGAs, or mixed architectures based on mission demands, performance targets, and hardware limitations
- Develop software architectures and implementations at the middleware or application layers with an emphasis on efficient resource use and dependable operation
- Enhance and adapt code to improve performance on constrained systems-on-chip, including effective partitioning of tasks between processors and FPGAs
- Work closely with satellite or spacecraft integration teams and internal partners to convert mission goals into detailed, reliable technical designs
- Offer technical mentorship, conduct code evaluations, and guide junior engineers in best practices and implementation strategies
