Role Overview
As an Equipment Service Technician, you will maintain and repair critical systems including HVAC, refrigeration, petroleum, and electrical equipment across store locations. Your work ensures uninterrupted operations, regulatory compliance, and facility safety through proactive maintenance and responsive repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency repairs on store equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient use of parts
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
- Diagnose technical issues using specialized tools and follow established procedures to resolve problems effectively
- Keep maintenance records up to date using the company’s work order system, including closing tickets and documenting solutions
- Wash and maintain store windows as part of regular facility upkeep
- Communicate repair status, equipment concerns, and vendor performance to facility leadership
- Manage inventory of tools and parts, including requisitioning non-stock items and ensuring accountability
- Operate and maintain a company vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws and company policies
- Stay current with required certifications, including environmental and safety standards such as EPA 608
- Attend training sessions, team meetings, and scheduled inventories as assigned
- Support additional tasks as directed by management
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required. Completion of technical or trade training is necessary, along with at least two years of hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or a related field. A valid driver’s license is mandatory. While not required, holding or obtaining EPA Section 608 certification is preferred.
Tools & Equipment
You’ll work with a range of tools including HVAC gauges, hand and power tools (drills, grinders, saws), pneumatic systems, welding equipment (torch, plasma cutter), landscaping tools, and motorized machinery such as forklifts and generators.

Work Environment
This is an onsite role requiring regular travel between facilities. You must be able to operate a company vehicle safely and comply with all transportation regulations. The position involves physical work in varied environments, including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor areas.
Training & Development
Ongoing training is provided on the job, with access to specialized learning centers. You’ll maintain certifications as required by manufacturers and regulatory agencies, ensuring continued technical proficiency and safety compliance.
