AlmavivA de Belgique is hiring an Expert Application Engineer / Administrator to ensure the smooth operation of critical applications. In this remote role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of application management across production and non-production environments.
What You'll Do
- Perform application installation, configuration, and administration in production and non-production environments.
- Conduct application monitoring, performance tuning, and drive continuous improvement of service efficiency and quality.
- Execute support and maintenance activities including incident, change, release, and problem resolution.
- Write and validate application procedures manuals, including troubleshooting guides and backup and restore plans.
- Automate administrative procedures for recurring system administration activities and provide technical support documentation.
- Contribute to the structuring, maintenance, and development of the technical knowledgebase supporting ICT Operations.
- Report on application availability, performance, capacity, and overall usage where required.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 6 years of experience as an IT professional in mid/large IT infrastructure environments, including deployment, support, and maintenance of applications.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in application administration.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with micro-services, container orchestration, and container-based stacks such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience administering and supporting Elasticsearch.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working with enterprise Microsoft or Linux server solutions.
- Good knowledge of deploying and administering Elasticsearch clusters.
- Good knowledge of micro-services and container stacks using Kubernetes, Helm charts, Docker, and Rancher.
- Good knowledge of configuration management concepts and technologies like Puppet, Ansible, or Chocolatey.
- Good knowledge of shell and/or PowerShell scripting.
- Good knowledge of ITIL, including incident, change, and release management processes.
- Expert level, with more than 15 years of overall IT experience.
