About the Role

The role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on medical devices at customer sites, following technical manuals and safety protocols to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure medical systems at customer locations
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment
  • Diagnose technical issues using diagnostic tools and manuals
  • Repair or replace faulty components in medical devices
  • Ensure all service activities meet safety and quality standards
  • Document service actions and outcomes accurately
  • Respond to customer-reported equipment malfunctions
  • Follow regulatory and compliance guidelines during service calls
  • Collaborate with technical support teams for complex issues
  • Maintain accurate inventory of service parts
  • Adhere to scheduled service timelines and customer appointments
  • Escalate unresolved issues according to procedures
  • Provide feedback on equipment performance trends
  • Support customer training on basic system operations
  • Use diagnostic software to assess system health
  • Follow proper calibration procedures for equipment
  • Work in clinical environments with infection control awareness
  • Maintain professional conduct during customer interactions
  • Report safety incidents or near misses promptly
  • Participate in ongoing technical training programs
  • Ensure tools and test equipment are calibrated and functional
  • Follow company policies for data security and patient privacy
  • Assist in system upgrades and retrofits
  • Minimize equipment downtime through proactive maintenance
  • Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline
  • Prior experience in medical equipment service
  • Experience with imaging or diagnostic equipment
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as FDA or ISO
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance software
  • Certification in biomedical equipment technology
  • Experience using remote diagnostic tools
  • Exposure to project management principles
  • Customer service recognition or awards
  • Training in electrical safety standards
