As a Finance Data Analyst I, you will play a key role in transforming raw financial and operational data into meaningful insights that directly influence business outcomes. Your work will center on analyzing large datasets, designing intuitive reporting tools, and delivering actionable intelligence to stakeholders across finance and other business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to embed data-driven practices across the organization by creating compelling data narratives and ensuring broad accessibility of analytics resources.
- Design, test, and deploy dashboards and reports in collaboration with end users, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Translate stakeholder requests into technical specifications, prioritizing analytics projects based on strategic impact.
- Develop and maintain data models, automated reporting systems, and performance tracking tools that support financial planning and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership in finance and other departments to define analytics requirements, resolve cross-functional challenges, and communicate findings effectively.
- Apply advanced analytical methods to uncover trends, identify optimization opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to change management initiatives by anticipating future data and technology needs within the finance function.
Qualifications
You bring at least one year of experience in finance, analytics, or a related field such as data management, business intelligence, or financial planning. Proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI is required, along with hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data from enterprise warehouses.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred. Additional experience with Python, data mining, or enterprise systems such as SAP, Essbase, Alteryx, or Snowflake will strengthen your application.
Strong analytical thinking, the ability to connect financial results to underlying business drivers, and solid project management skills are essential. You should be self-driven, comfortable working independently, and capable of escalating issues when needed.
Work Environment
This position operates in a hybrid model, with initial on-site requirements for the first 90 days. Locations include Phoenix, AZ, and Minneapolis, MN. Candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined by export control regulations.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $63,000 to $75,000. Benefits include employer-subsidized health insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) matching, flexible spending and health savings accounts, educational assistance, paid time off, parental leave, and 12 paid holidays annually.
