Rockwell Automation is hiring a Finished Goods Planning Manager

About the Role

This role leads finished goods planning operations for North and Latin America, ensuring seamless product flow to global distribution centers. You will supervise planning teams, guiding performance against key metrics including service levels, days on hand, obsolescence, and working capital using established inventory and production planning systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the planning teams supporting factored finished goods across NA and LA, maintaining consistent supply availability
  • Monitor and manage inventory performance targets, leveraging planning systems to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Identify potential supply risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate critical updates to leadership
  • Oversee supplier performance in areas such as on-time delivery, lead time compliance, and responsiveness, initiating corrective actions when necessary
  • Serve as escalation point for supply disruptions and supplier-related issues
  • Assess team capabilities and performance trends, aligning development needs with organizational goals
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to direct reports through regular check-ins and functional oversight
  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving service, reducing costs, and optimizing inventory
  • Drive lean and continuous improvement efforts that deliver measurable savings and reduce waste across processes

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, along with 5–7 years of progressive experience in supply planning, materials management, or sourcing environments. Demonstrated expertise in MRP, inventory control, and end-to-end supply chain operations—including planning, sourcing, logistics, and distribution—is essential.

Preferred candidates will have team leadership experience, a track record of improving supplier performance, and familiarity with global, multicultural supply chains. Professional certifications such as APICS (CPIM/CSCP), PMP, or Lean Six Sigma are considered strong advantages.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring presence at a company location on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with flexibility for off-site work when business needs allow.
