Role Overview
As a Junior FinOps Analyst, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial data across transactional systems. You'll be responsible for validating and monitoring financial flows, ensuring accurate reconciliation, compliance, and risk detection across a fast-paced, international fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise end-to-end reconciliation of financial transactions, verifying correct recording and alignment with audit standards.
- Analyze automated reconciliation reports, detect variances, and investigate root causes of discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other teams to resolve issues and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure all control processes meet established service level agreements and compliance requirements.
- Monitor ongoing financial activity to maintain accuracy, regulatory alignment, and operational reliability.
- Support audit initiatives by preparing clear, traceable documentation and evidence.
- Propose and contribute to improvements in automation, reporting, and operational efficiency within FinOps workflows.
Qualifications
- Background in financial operations, reconciliations, audit, or related roles—experience in fintech or multinational settings preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on precision when handling large volumes of transactional data.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for analysis, reporting, and data manipulation.
- Proven ability to solve problems systematically and implement sustainable fixes.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure, adapting to change, and working independently.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in regulated or audit-intensive environments.
- Familiarity with SQL or business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Looker.
- Collaborative experience with global, cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to payments, settlements, or high-volume financial processing.
