As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of engineering and client impact, partnering directly with major enterprise clients to design and deliver custom solutions. Based in Singapore, you'll be instrumental in expanding Addepar’s footprint in the region, serving as a technical advisor while influencing long-term product direction.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of high-impact technical projects with minimal oversight, from scoping to implementation
- Collaborate with client engineering teams to integrate and extend the Addepar platform for complex financial data workflows
- Solve diverse technical challenges across data modeling, system architecture, and performance optimization
- Translate client feedback into actionable insights for internal engineering and product teams
- Design solutions that balance immediate needs with scalable, long-term improvements
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in object-oriented or compiled languages such as Java, Python, Go, Rust, or Scala
- Hands-on experience with relational or NoSQL databases
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Proven ability to manage timelines, lead projects, and build trust with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with strongly typed server-side languages like Java or C++
- Background in distributed computing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, Storm, or Apache Arrow
